Introducing the Boatman Actor Plus Bait Boat – the first UK bait boat equipped with an integrated compass. This advanced feature ensures the boat maintains a straight course, even in challenging conditions like wind, weight variations, or water flow. Once set to Auto Forward, the boat will automatically keep its path straight, offering a seamless experience. Calibration is quick and easy, requiring just a single button press that takes less than 15 seconds, making it perfect for each new swim.

The Boatman Actor Plus has been designed in the UK by three experienced carp anglers, each bringing years of hands on knowledge to the table. Building on the success of the hugely popular Actor model, we’ve made key improvements to create the ultimate affordable bait boat for serious anglers. At the heart of the Actor Plus is a large central hopper with a large 3kg capacity. The dual bomb-bay style doors can be opened either individually or simultaneously via the remote control, offering complete flexibility. Compact and lightweight without compromising on capacity, the Actor Plus gives you all the performance of a larger bait boat without the bulk.

Boatman sonar is impressively accurate and easily comparable to devices like the Deeper. One major advantage however is that it features its own dedicated screen which attaches directly to the top of the remote. This keeps everything compact and eliminates the need for apps, signal boosters, or mobile devices. The screen displays real time sonar readings, as well as water depth and temperature, which can be toggled between feet/metres and °C/°F depending on your preference. The sonar has an impressive range of up to 200 meters, with a depth detection range from 2.5 ft to 100 ft. While it does include a fish finder function, it’s worth noting that accurate fish detection requires a minimum depth of around 8–9 feet. That said, we believe sonar is best used for locating underwater features rather than individual fish and this is where our sonar really shines. Identifying drop-offs, clear patches, gravel bars, or weed-free areas can significantly improve your results, and our sonar makes it easy to spot these features. Another important point: the sonar provides live, real-time data. Unlike towed sonars like a Deeper, where the reading you see isn't directly beneath the boat but slightly behind it, our sonar is fixed to the boat. This means what you see on screen is exactly what’s underneath at that moment allowing for far more precise bait or rig placement.
