The Boatman SN5 Sonar is the latest and most advanced sonar system available from Boatman. This universal kit is compatible with every current Boatman bait boat model, including the Boatman Actor, Boatman Actor Plus, Boatman Vulcan, and Boatman Vulcan Mini.

The sonar unit itself, known as the “Elf”, mounts to the rear of the boat via a bracket and is towed behind while in use. It offers an impressive 300m range without requiring any additional range extenders. The system features a fully touch screen display and is IP67 waterproof rated, making it ideal for all weather fishing sessions.

The SN5 Sonar offers extensive adjustment settings  allowing you to fine tune sensitivity, beam angle, and other key functions for both shallow and deep water. This level of control helps deliver highly accurate sonar readings. Not only does the system clearly map the lake bed, but it also provides detailed underwater outlines, making features such as weed beds, drop offs, and shoals of fish easy to identify.

Battery performance is equally impressive  with the screen lasting approximately 8 hours on a full charge while the sonar unit itself delivers up to 48 hours of runtime.

The display offers excellent resolution on a generously sized screen and can be mounted either to a tripod or directly onto your boat remote using suitable brackets. Thanks to the responsive touch screen interface, navigation and setup adjustments are quick and straightforward.

A particularly useful feature is the playback function, which allows you to review the previous 10 minutes of live sonar data for closer inspection. Sessions can also be saved directly to the screen for future playback at any time.
